You can go up to Denver, turn west and head for Keystone only 90 minutes away from the Denver International Airport. Some visitors, take the ski train to Keystone. One service is Summit Express. Keystone Back bowlsIf you head west on Highway 24 to Southpark (yes, THAT TV Southpark) and you will hit Keystone traveling through Breckenridge.

Keystone is a great ski area for families as well as for singles. There are ski classes for the littlest beginners and or the ‘later-in-life’ beginners. There are slopes for every skill level: Beginners as well as advanced skiers.

You might want to start out at the Mountain House, which is the first main ski area, with bunny slopes and ‘magic carpets’ to start out and get your ski legs back. River Run Village is the second ski area where a gondola takes you up the mountain to another beginner area, tubing, green and blue slopes, a large terrain park and a smaller one as well as kids tree routes. If you are adventurous, by all means ski down the backside and hit the back bowls for more fun!

2, 800 acres spread across 3 mountains offer great skiing for every level of skier. Note that at the end of January there is the Keystone Snofest with special offers for military members. Keystone also offers a great season ski pass for our military. If you like to ski then this is the way to go!
