North Shore Tahoe Ski resorts

Drop everything and get to the North Shore this weekend

fresh powder at Squaw Valley“Warning: this is not an #AprilFools joke. 16″ of light fluffy snow in 24hrs! #squawvalley ”

“Rumors of today being the best day of the season are going around. We can agree. 5+ feet of new snow… ”

“All you can hear @skiapline today is “woohoo!” and “f*** yeah!” ”

These are just a few of the tweets and instagrams from Squaw Valley and Apine Meadows yesterday. And conditions are expected to be just as good for the next several days.

The recent five feet of snow and forecasted sunny skies could make this weekend one of the best weekends of the winter season, and Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows will be making the most of it. Squaw Valley’s mountaintop hot tub will be the place to be this Saturday with a DJ pool party from 1-4 p.m. Over at Alpine Meadows, the Ice Bar will re-open with an on-mountain bash on the backside of the mountain on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. And as part of an on-going spring themed weekend deal, Squaw and Alpine will be giving $10 off lift tickets to anyone dressed as a superhero on Saturday and Sunday (valid for full-day lift tickets only). So get your cape on and get out there!

Need lift tickets? The 2014-15 Tahoe Super Pass, starting at just $349, lets you ski and ride for free for the rest of the 2013-14 season. Squaw and Alpine are also offering $50 lift tickets to season passholders of any other ski resort this spring.

Need gear? Or maybe your kids have outgrown their gear for this season? No worries. Just get in the car and get here. Tahoe Dave’s Skis and Boards provides rental clothing at all four of their locations: Tahoe City, Truckee, Kings Beach, and Olympic Valley. They have pants, jackets, goggles, gloves, and helmets, in addition to skis/boards and boots, of course. Their jackets and pants are all high-quality with Gortex – much more waterproof than those jeans! Their clothing package (jacket, pants, gloves, goggles) is just $29, and you can save 20% off your rentals by clicking here.

With super savings and fresh pow, just take a day or two off work and head to North Tahoe ASAP.
